Everyone's a Tooth Buddy!
Horray! All campers are well-educated on the power of choice and the effects of germs on our precious teeth, and also the importance of brushing-brushing-brushing! The Tooth Buddy puppet show was really cute:

Welcome to Tenderfoot Camp!!
Dear Tenderfoot Families,
Welcome to Tenderfoot Camp! We are excited to have you and your family as a part of our community. Tenderfoot is a warm and friendly camp. Campers will make new friends, sing, play, create, swim, explore the outdoors, and have tons of fun. Enclosed is the camp calendar. Please post it in a convenient location and refer to it throughout the summer for important dates and special events.
Open House for campers and parents is Saturday, June 23rd, 2018. During this time you will meet the directors, bunk counselors and the camp nurse. We will share information about the program and answer any questions you may have. Any special needs or concerns about your camper can also be addressed at that time. Please take a few minutes to tour the campus, play on the playgrounds, and visit our swimming pool (swimming begins on Monday, June 25th).
In order to ensure that you have an equal opportunity to meet with the staff, we have staggered the Open House arrival times. Please make every effort to abide by these times as it reduces congestion in the parking lot and in your child’s bunk.
Letters correspond to your child’s Last Name.
Arrive at: 1:00 pm Last Names: A through M Depart by 1:40 pm
Arrive at: 1:45 pm Last Names: N through Z Depart by 2:25 pm
The Open House ends at 2:30 pm.
The first day of camp is Monday, June 25th. You may drop your child off at camp between 8:30am – 8:55 am. Bunk activities begin at 9 am. Please make sure your child is here by 9 am and follow the signs at the drop-off circle as every camper will be dropped off in front of the gym. There will be counselors available in the traffic circle beginning at 8:30 am to escort children to their bunks. Counselors will depart from the traffic circle at 8:55 am to return to their bunks to begin morning activities. If you bring your child after this time, kindly walk him/her to the bunk or the camp office. Children should be picked up between 2:55 pm and 3:20. Please present your Tenderfoot Car Sign whenever you are picking up your camper. In order for you to pick up a camper other than your own, we must receive written permission from the parent of that camper. Our traffic circle is set up so that parents do not get out of the car. Counselors will assist campers into the car. This will ensure safety and help traffic flow at this hectic time. You also have the option to park in the gravel lot and walk up to drop off or pick up your child.
Any child/children remaining at 3:20 will be escorted to our After Camp Experience (ACE). This program can be purchased by contacting Kat Clayton, Summer Programs Coordinator or by registering through your Camp InTouch Profile. Please note, there is no per diem rate or drop-in service. ACE ends promptly at 6:00 pm. We understand that emergencies may cause lateness in pick up from ACE. We expect that you will contact the camp to inform us of any issues that arise and may cause you to pick up your camper(s) after 6pm. Late pickups will result in a charge of $10/15 minutes. The camp reserves the right to limit or cancel a camper’s attendance at ACE as a result of repeated lateness. ACE staff members have responsibilities to their own families, and we appreciate you arriving before 6PM. Thank you for understanding.
There will be NO ACE on the last day of camp. All campers MUST be picked up no later than 3:30 pm on Friday, August 11, 2017.
Campers will need to bring the following items to camp every day: (PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING!)

Our Swim Instructors will provide all the necessary equipment for swim instruction. Toys from home are discouraged. Military attire and military toys are never permitted. (No camouflage, please.)
Here at Friends’ Central we take a thematic approach to organizing each week’s activities as listed on the camp calendar. Before the start of camp, you may continue to call the Summer Programs office at (610) 645-5132. The Tenderfoot Camp Staff looks forward to meeting you and your family on Saturday, June 24th.
